While there are many characteristics on UTMIII, which is further upgraded from UTMII, one of the benefits is that RS-485 is equipped as standard.

Moreover, as minimum functions that are required for measurement such as filter setting and digital zero are equipped, UTMIII enables us to collect data even without using indicators or converters.

"UNI-Format", a communication method using RS-485 interface is a simple communication format configured by UNIPULSE.

This time, we tried by connecting to a terminal software.

*While the connection is made via USB on the illustration example, any converters that support communications with PC can be connected.

Operation is quite simple.

If you want to retrieve torque information, command on the host side and you will acquire a numerical value in percentage against the capacity of UTMIII.

There are some other useful commands too.

                                With the dedicated software for UTM,

                                you can use it immediately even without learning

                                communication commands!
