In case errors are displayed on UNIPULSE's indicator, basically you will be able to grasp what is actually occurring from those error messages.
In case of keypad type indicator:
Type of errors is indicated in a style such as "oFL1", "cErr2" etc.
As these errors are indicated in segment form, expression is quite limited. In addition, it may be difficult to understand the meaning as the errors are displayed in abbreviated form.
In case of touch screen type indicator:
Type of errors is indicated in a style such as "Zero error", "Overload" etc. Compared with the keypad type, it is much easier to understand.
In the operation manual, you can find details of errors and methods to resolve the errors.
Operation manuals can be downloaded from our website.
<Status check of load cell>
1) Let the load cell with no force applied (i.e. "Unloaded" condition), then connect it to an indicator in order to secure power supply for the loadcell.
2) Perform voltage test on +SIG* and -SIG* of the load cell cable.
[Case 1] Near 0mV value is output.
(Within the allowable range of zero balance* as a guide)
When force is applied by finger press etc., the indicator reacts.
-> Load cell is in fine condition.
[Case 2] Value exceeding allowable range of zero balance is output.
Condition has been changed at sensor part due to aging deterioration and/or external factors and such.
-> The larger the output is, the worse the load cell condition is.
Please consult with a supplier.
[Case 3] Voltage larger than rated output* of the load cell is output.
It is malfunctioning due to overload or unbalanced load.
(Ex.) In case of a load cell with rated output of 1mV/V and excitation voltage of 2.5V, and voltage larger than 2.5mV is output.
-> The load cell is in unusable state due to malfunction.
[Case 4] No output (0mV).
Displayed value does not change at all even if force is applied.
There might be a break on a cable.
-> The load cell is in unusable state due to malfunction.
*Can be checked on the Test Report (included with load cell upon purchase), on the product catalog or from our website.
Before installing load cell, it is recommended to check the value of
output voltage at unloaded state and take note of it.
The output value can be compared with the initial state
at periodic inspection.
Indicators such as F381A, FS2000, PFA and FC400 are equipped with
a function that can record output value at zero point during calibration.
Very convenient!
